Have You Started

Image
My wedding anniversary is approaching and the sunset dinner cruises in Branson would be perfect. Take the two hour ride while enjoying a scrumptious dinner with my love one and the pleasure of cruising the lake and see some water attractions. We can also view the immense diversity of Branson’s wildlife. The Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing is the perfect place to stay. We don’t have to go far to catch these Cruises or Yachts. We need to take advantage of the water because I’m pretty sure it is a few degrees cooler on the water than land. We are also planning to see the fantastic Caverns in Branson. We don’t have to worry about the kids getting tired of walking there because we ride. Furthermore, if we bring our whole family we can save even more from their specials and packages. All we have to do is pick which one the best package for the whole family. I will bring it up to my family and see what they have to say. My sister in law is getting married soon; maybe we can all go togeth

Garden Salad

Image
This is DH favorite salad. I used Romaine lettuce and carrots. Yes, that is what he wants in his salad along with cook ham cubes, croutons and thousand island dressing. He will also take it with garlic bread. He does not like tomatoes, cheese or hard boiled eggs on them. Two ingredients and he is happy, he will be very happy as well if I just feed him cake, cookies or anything sweet for his meal. That is diabetic waiting to happen.

Asian Market Groceries

Image
Here goes some bad food for my health. I'm sorry but I grew up eating this kind of food (I know not a excuse) and I can't live without it once in the blue moon. I spent about $55.00 for all of these and other three items that can't be seen here because my kids ate it already. In the picture is my favorite coconut milk brand, can jackfruit (the only thing I can buy here), DH favorite fruit salad mix-coconut gel and palm nuts, banana ketchup (please don't ask me the ingredients on those because I rather not read it), eggroll wrappers, rice noodles, canton noodles, and mung beans. I think the only thing good in this bunch are the mung beans however, it did not say organic on the bag. I should try growing one seed and see if they grow. If it does it means they did not radiated it. I'll be cooking pork eggroll (shanghai), canton noodles , pork kabobs , beef broccoli, potato salad , fried rice and of course chocolate cake for my youngest son 3rd birthday party on Sunday.

Red Potatoes

Image
After getting some things from our local store I went to the local farmers market to check if they have red potatoes. Sure enough they have some yesterday. I will be making another potato salad for the party on Sunday. We were invited to watch fire works also this Friday at DH friends house. He is supposed to let me know if we need to take anything, but so far no words yet and I keep forgetting to ask him. Have a red, white and blue week (at least one more weekend). Why do we still celebrate the occasion? From what I read we never been free since the 30's when the US got bought buy a private corporation. Search it out, you will find it.

Potato Salad

Image
This is DH favorite lunch during summer days. He likes eating something cold when it's hot outside. The real tough part is to make sure it stays cold inside his lunch bag. I had to put a lot of ice pack and his light lunch bag turn into this heavy, nothing much inside lunch bag but ice. This was made with the yellow potato. I prefer red baby potatoes but I can't find anything. He likes the red baby potato the best because they are kinda like the baby carrots, sweet and nice to put your teeth into. I can get it from my local farmers market. But when I went there to get some they don't have it yet. I guess it is still too early. The salad is mix with hard boiled eggs, chop onions, chop celery, salt pepper, mustard and mayonnaise. The chop onions and celery he prefer not to have. He does not like anything crunchy with it. I will be making this again next weekend for my youngest DS 3rd birthday party, and I'm hoping I can get some baby red potatoes before then.

Win A Prize at Blu World

Image
There are five prizes to choice from like Xbox 360 Elite Gaming System, a Happy Blu-Year in New York City (New Years Eve in Time Square), A Lollapalooza at Grant Park in Chicago, Richard Petty Driving Experience in Orlando, or the Winter X Games 14 in Aspen. Those are sure great places to visit and have fun. And it is hard to pick just one however, I never been to Aspen and Chicago. Now all I have to do is choose between the two of them. Chicago is very close to me than Aspen and we can always drive there to see it, so I decided to pick Aspen. I like the mountains and I think we can really have fun there (I'm planning to learn how to ski while we are over there). Now, all I have to do is follow the rules: I have to comment on the contest, then use Twitter to tweet why BluFrog is better in 140 words or less, and last but not the least blog about it in my blog and leave another comment along with my post URL. Each person can register three times until July 17, 2009 (woohoo! more cha

Roast

Image
This one actually looks like a stew. You can't blame me, I like my roast with broth, potatoes and carrots. This is the same recipe from my Rump roast . A very tasty meal to have just like hot chocolate on a rainy days. And yes, we are having so much rain. I can't wait for the summer to start, then I will complain about the heat...lol. Have a bowl my readers and happy weekend.

Staycation For The Summer

Image
Staycation meaning stay-at-home and vacation, a term can be use when going to Branson MO for the summer because we can stay for the whole summer (our new home away from home). We will stay at Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing full service Hotels and choose from 242 luxury guest rooms and suites, or one, two or three bedrooms suites with full kitchens to cook our own meals, and enjoy the 18 holes of golf at the new Payne Stewart Golf Club. Of course we can always eat at Liberty Tavern Restaurant to really enjoy our summer vacation. If we prefer to have the view of Ozark Mountain, Lake Taneycomo and Historic Downtown Branson we can stay at Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel . They have an indoor and outdoor swimming pool that my kids can enjoy after a hot stroll on the town. Have a meal at Trofi Restaurant and try their Mediterranean style cuisine from breakfast to dinner, or we can choose the Trofi Lounge and enjoy the view while eating lunch or dinner with the whole family. Both

BLT In My Kitchen

Image
One of my favorite sandwiches around. Very easy to make, toasted bread, cooked bacon, Romain lettuce (much better than Iceberg), tomato slices, and mayonnaise (try using the real mayonnaise or you can make your own). I prefer my BLT with no mayonnaise, I add extra tomatoes instead.

I Joined SocialCardsters

Image
I saw an image for this during my daily drops a long time ago. I wasn't curious enough to click on it because I don't want to join another social network. I got so much than I can handle and to many emails to check every day. Yesterday, I got a message from BenSpark.com telling me that I've been added to the "I'm Not A Famous Blogger" Street Team. I feel privilege...somewhat...ha ha ha. So then, I followed his site and I found this image SocialCardsters on his blogroll. A blogroll for everyone who uses SocialSpark and EntreCard. If you are a member of SocialSpark and Entrecard come and join me at SocialCardsters. All you have to do is leave him a message and you can be added. What are you waiting for, go over and be added to his lists.

Breakfast Sandwich

Image
Like I said in my last post, I will try the breakfast sandwich my ODS makes with my omelet. With this sandwich I added bacon and I used Provolone cheese. Very filling I may add, I almost couldn't finish the sandwich and the bagel is small, it not the same size of what you buy from Dunkin Donuts (much smaller). I used bagel, scramble eggs, Provolone cheese and bacon. I melted the cheese over the eggs in a toaster oven.

Omelet In My Kitchen way

Image
Here is my breakfast this morning. Egg omelet with saute onions, tomatoes, and ham. ODS makes a sandwich out of it. He uses toasted bagel and add a slice of cheese. I have not try it yet but, I think I will tomorrow. TGIF from " My Kitchen ".

Another Pasta Recipe

Image
I am into seafood lately and every weekend I makes seafood over pasta. This time with shrimp, baby clams, calamari, scallops, Parmesan cheese, onions, heavy cream, clam juice, salt and pepper and parsley over spaghetti. You can also use angel hair, fettuccine or linguine pasta.

In My Kitchen: Personality Test

Image
Metz from Empty Street tag me with a personality test. Very interesting result I got, just by answering a few questions. And what's funny about it is, it's all true. I'm speechless. If you want to play along just follow these simple rule: The rules are: 1. Open this website : http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test82.aspx 2. Take the Personality Quiz (it's VERY short and easy, really) 3. Copy Paste the result to your blog. 4. Tag as many friends as you can and link to the friend who tagged you. Your view on yourself: You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties. The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for: You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractiv

Will Be Miss 20/20

I am dodging the day that I really need to wear specs for my eyes. I feel it creeping in my eyes that can be no longer ignored. I can still see fine however, in some occasions I can’t focus in a certain degree. Whenever I get a new job and medical insurance comes with it, I always schedule an eye exam just to make sure. However, I been home for 6 years now. And those six years I have not step foot at any vision office. Our insurance is paid directly from our pocket, and we don’t have vision coverage. All my life I never wear one except for sunglasses. I guess being old comes with valuable qualities and negative ones. Let me put it this way, “at least with contact lenses I can still hide my age”…lol (I always wanted to have hazel or gray tint eyes). With contacts, it will never get tramp on and sit on because the case is tiny enough to stick in small spaces. I don’t have to carry it anywhere because I will be wearing it the whole time. Furthermore, with LensAlert I can have an instant

A Mother's Choice

Image
We love children. As a matter of fact, we have five of them. We were not too strict about their diet at the beginning. However, that change fast when we started reading the ingredients of products we buy plus, I breastfeed most of them except for my eldest son. I don’t know any better then, and I have to pay for it in the long run. Breastfeeding is very natural. Furthermore; don’t listen to anyone who tells you otherwise. I know other mother’s are not lucky enough to do so (because of health issue), but breast milk is the best for our children. Some mothers are even selling or donating their oversupply of breast milk to those mothers that have health issues. However, others don’t have any choice but to buy a store bought formulas. Do you know how much you will spend for a year supply of formula, two or three years supply of diapers, clothing, doctors visits, and other food? Bringing life into this world can be pricey. Moreover, if you have to buy a formula you can save about $60 a mont

Caesar Salad (my way)

Image
Once in a while I go into the rabbits diet, especially when warm weather hits. One of my favorite salad is Caesar salad. I make it with Romain lettuce (cut-up and chilled), cherry tomatoes, croutons, grated Parmesan cheese and creamy Caesar dressing. Sometimes I make Grilled Chicken Caesar salad, the only difference is I added grilled chicken cubes. I also do this diet right after a birthday party, Holiday feast or a cook out with one of our family and friends. Eating light after these occasions makes my stomach feel normal. Have a serving, there are plenty for everyone. Enjoy!
