From My Vegetable Garden

This is my very first harvest in my garden this year...in August? yes, I am not very happy about it either. I should be in the end of harvesting season already. However, I am still happy because I can have some fresh veggies that I love, even though there are too little of it.

Some type of squash, okra/lady fingers, sitaw/long/string/yard beans with shrimps. This shellfish thing will bring me to hell...argh.

Below is my DD showing how long some of my sitaw are. All natural soil, the only difference from last year was food scraps from my kitchen mixed with the soil.

You will find some of the pictures in my other blogs. No, I do not copy it, I own them both...just to clarify if you find the same pictures somewhere...:))

I only manage to plant ang walang kamatayang kamatis because it's the easiest, lol! and a few stems of Camote.
and of course, nothing beat the healthy food from your own garden, the real organic food at its finest!!!

@ Willa, I love gardening because I can plant what ever I like. Yes, I agree with tomatoes, they grow like weeds...lol.

@ Luna, don't get me wrong I love seafood and shellfish the most. But according to the bible they are bad (bottom feeder with no scales all over)...he he he

Awww. I love this post! I've been wanting to grow our own veggies at our backyard. We haven't had the whole area renovated yet so for now, we only have ampalaya and chili peppers.

This made me want to pursue my dream of growing our own veggies at home. Thanks for sharing! :)

@mai, thanks for the comment. Yes, that is a start indeed. My garden used to be tiny...DH made it bigger in the course of 5 years with the help of my Dad.
