6 large green or red bell peppers
1 lb ground beef
2 tbsp chopped onions
1 c cooked rice
1 tsp salt
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
3/4 c shredded mozzarella cheese (3oz)
Cut thin slice from the stem end of each bell pepper. Remove seeds and membranes; rinse peppers. You may choose to blanch it then stuff or stuff it without cooking. Cook ground beef, onion and garlic in a skillet, stirring occasionally, until beef is light brown; drain the fat. Stir in rice, salt and 1 cup of tomato sauce; heat until hot.
Heat oven to 350°F. Stuff peppers with beef mixture. Stand upright in square baking dish. Pour remaining tomato sauce over peppers. Cover and bake 45 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer. Sprinkle with cheese.
I usually cook the meat first when I blanch the peppers. After taking the peppers out of the water, I stuff them and they go straight in the oven.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine.Today is the very first time we went shopping together with 3 kids in tow. I was very surprise on how behave they are today. We went to two different store and when we got home I told hubby, "wow, they are well behaved today, and I didn't even try biting my tongue not to yell at them in front of so many people". Maybe we got lucky or they are just growing and learning. I hope it was the second thing I mention...lol.
Did you know that 8 of 10 supermarket shoppers see no improvement in the economy, and 40% say things have actually gotten worse in the recent months? Well, the number of people who say's it is getting worse should be higher, because my family and my husband's family had known this longer than the recent month. Hubby actually asked today if food items gotten expensive. He notices, even though he does not buy groceries. I am already buying Store Brand products. I have to read most of the ingredients because even though that I buy them, I still try very hard to feed my family healthy food. Talk about Recession, Recovery & Store Brands shopping. I will be very happy if most of the name brand I bought in the past, I can get cheaper in Store Brand. Fewer ingredients listed on any product is what I like.
I also read that 49% say their new Store Brand selections compare “very favorably” and up from 35% in June 2009. Again, if you can get it cheaper why do you want to pay more? Just like Parent's Choice formula for your babies. They pretty much have the same ingredients as the leading brand, don't you agree? I am just so glad that I don't have to use a lot of them when I had my kids. Two of them are jaundiced, and I didn't switch to a formula, I made sure they are eating frequently and doing number and number two. I do feel bad to those new born who are exposed into un-natural things, as soon as they enter the world. Make sure you are healthy before having kids and stay away from bad things. Morning sickness is natural when you are pregnant. Do not take anything for it because in the long run your body and baby react to what you are taking. Stay natural and take care of yourself. Healthy mother comes healthy babies I always say.

This time I blanched the peppers because DH was complaining last time that the peppers are not cook. And this time added some mozzarella on top too. I like it with cheese and I will make this with cheese from now on. DH only ate half of one and our kids ate the stuffings. I only wish they eat food the way I do. However, I don't have any problem with them when it comes with desserts.

We've been using a water distiller for a month now. Every water that we use for cooking came from the distiller. Would you like to see the stuff that is left behind the bottom of the distiller, take a look below?
Ours can make 5 gallons a day, but we consume 2 gallons. We make one in the morning and one at night. We never store the distilled water in a plastic container because that is a waste of money. Plastic have chemicals and distilled water has nothing in it. Meaning the chemicals in plastic can transfer into the water. Do you buy distilled water from the store? Waste of money, it goes the same with bottled water. They are all filled with chemicals.
To clean it, I use hot water and vinegar mixture (filled all the way on the top), and I let it boil for 20 to 30 minutes. So, what is in your water? This distiller kills everything that can be found in our water and removed harsh chemical like fluoride (and a lot more) that can be found in city water.

Have a mentioned that we have a little kitchen? Probably a hundred times, right? I always use a blender when I am making french toast in the morning. I keep the machine on top of the fridge because there is no other place to put it. The flashlight was there too, because most of the time when the power goes off, we are sitting in the living room and that is the middle of the house. And high enough for the kids that they can't reach it.
It should be standing, but it wasn't and when I grabbed what it was leaning at and it rolled off. Yup, it followed the blender down, and I am so grateful that I moved my foot before it hit the floor.

I used to own a very nice gas grill when I was still single. I had to move to a new place, and they do not allow a gas grill in the premises. I had to give it away, I could have probably stored it, but I was young, and I didn't want any trouble with my new land lord, so I opt to part with it. I do miss cooking a whole meal with it, because it has two burners on both sides, and I can cook side dishes while tending the grill. Live and learn right? Now, my family settled for a second hand outdoor gas grill...:(
Who does not like grilled food these days? I think everyone loves grilled food, they are way healthier, in my opinion. How can you grill if you live in a condo? Very simple, get one of this Dimplex PowerChef Electric Grills. I had a charcoal grill before the gas I was talking about above, boy, I never like the lighter fluid burning to start the charcoal. With electric grill, you don't have to worry about the fumes that lighter fluids and gas bring. All you will smell the scent of your food grilling on it. Do you have any plans this weekend? Don't look any further, because a new movie is being released this Friday, April 9th. It is Date Night Movie, starring Steve Carell and Tina Fey. Get your kids a baby sitter and head out on Friday. Please take a few minutes to watch the trailer of the movie below. My husband and I used to have a movie date, but these days it takes too much work just to find some one to watch the kids. So, if the kids are not allowed to see the movie we wanted to see, we opt not to go. However, every kid friendly movie we watch or buy, and we watch it with our kids.
Isn't Steve Carell in the TV show "The Office"? I don't know, I'm not really into TV shows either. Anyway, I watched the trailer, and it looks like a funny movie. I will be very mad being mistaken for someone else, especially nowadays. That would drive me bunkers. I am talking about me here, other people may have a different opinion than I am. And I am pretty sure that no one else think the way I do in this planet. Plan your Friday with your husband, and go see the "Date Night".

In my opinion, exercise comes in many forms. A person doesn't need to go to a gym just to exert muscles in various ways to keep fit. Going up and down on your own stairs can do great things for your body. Most street nowadays has a sidewalk to do some power walking or simply go to the park and while your kids are playing, do some stretches on the park bench. Multiple repetition of any movement (activity wise, not eating) will be helpful too.
And for those of you who is not a health enthusiast out there, I have a site for you. At www.wellnessdaily.com you can customize a healthy lifestyle that fits your needs. You can also chat with other and ask questions about anything health related. From weight loss to maintaining what really works for you. When talking to hubby on how his eyesight is so bad, I get the conclusion that his mother did not eat food when she was pregnant with any of her kids. She is just plain does not know anything, or simply does not care, because she talks about how her parents always ate healthy when she was little.
His sister just went under the lazy eyes' surgery, because all three of them have it. He actually blames it with the color of his eyes. And I can attest that most blue eye people don't have bad eyes just like he does. I showed him the iLASIK Video Contest winner, and he is not qualified for any of these services. His eyes are way out ruin that the only thing he can use is prescription eyeglasses for the rest of his life.
However, for those of you out there you can still see without glasses check this iLASIK Video Contest, and see what you think. I am glad for others who can actually continue an everyday life without glasses attach in their faces. I just wanted to share to moms who are pregnant right now to eat healthy for your own and your baby's health.
