Homemade Maple Syrup

A little over an acre is the size of my yard. I have about ten feet or less of trees at the very back. And guess what I did this year? I found three big enough maple trees to tap and made my own maple syrup with. I am very static.

My PIL own twenty-four acres of woods (the total property size is 25 acres) and not one maple tree to tap. The syrup is very sweet, and have a caramel after taste. I can't wait to do it again early next year.

We love maple syrup. The quantity of sap required and time needed explains why it is so expensive to buy.
