More Sitaw To Freeze

This is my harvest from yesterday August 30th. If we don't get any warm nights I think these will be the last good harvest I'm having.

Behind are my roma/plum tomatoes waiting to be canned. I can't seems to find preserve jars in the store. I will try BJ's tomorrow or Target. Hopefully they have some. I really need to preserve some of the tomatoes for my winter use. Wish me luck.

Women Chance To Save Lives

C'elle’s exclusive and revolutionary service provides women with the unique opportunity to collect and preserve vital stem cells that can be harvested from the body’s menstrual fluid during the menstrual cycle. It’s all About the Science and helping people. This should be done for free to help a lot of people cure life threatening and debilitating medical conditions such as diabetes, stroke and heart disease, as well as neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s, osteoporosis and spinal cord injury and a lot more. Right now they are having a limited time special promotion with $200 saving by entering the code CN200. If your family had the history of life threatening disease this is your chance to find a cure and live a normal healthy lifestyle. I rather collect my own menstrual blood and donate it to science than using embryonic stem cells to cure diseases. For more information and to see C'elle Client Testimonial please visit the site.

Okra With Tomatoes

I always like Okra with tomatoes or simply boiled Okra with soy sauce on the side. Very easy to make than deep fry. All I did was, put chop onions, crush garlic, peeled & diced tomatoes and okra in a small sauce pan and let it cook. Add salt and pepper to taste. You can eat by itself or over pasta or rice.

Eat Healthy With The Sproutwells

The Sproutwells are back with a new episode. I like the part when Romaina was telling her husband that they have a new addition to the family. Chips, the husband imagining having a new baby in the house but Romaina is talking about the dog. Please watch the video below to see who the Sproutwells family is. Sweet Potato

Sweet potato tops (talbos ng kamote) I bought it from the store for Christmas last year and the left over I let it sprout and on spring I planted them in my garden.

This is the flowers looks like.

Already blanch and cooling in cold water.

I used sandwich bags to separate them. One bag is one meal for us. I put them in bigger freezer bags before freezing.

Too Much

Here is my harvest today. I blanched them all and freeze for later use.

It filled up my biggest pot.

Here they are cooling in ice water.

And ready to go in the freezer.

Sour Cream & Chives Baked Potato

This is very easy to make. Just make sure you buy the baking potatoes not the other kind. Just wash them and bake in 375 degree oven for 1 hour. You don't need to wrap them in aluminum foil. Aluminum foil is bad for you when heated next to your food. Don't use them when cooking. With this you can put any toppings you like. The picture above is topped with sour cream and chives. I also like it with broccoli and melted cheese, bacon bits and melted cheese, butter, and chili and melted cheese. Enjoy!

Get Cozy With Cabin Cuddler

I still remember the first time I landed in Pennsylvania 18 years ago. It was summer but somehow rather chilly. (Good thing the people who picked me up from the airport has a blanket in their car.) Almost like the temperature we are having now. I travel from Philippines to Guam straight to Seattle Washington, then Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to State College. I did this all by myself and this is the very first time I travel far. Airlines and airport personnel are very nice to me, handing out clean pillows and blankets for my comfort. I heard today they don’t even offer this luxury anymore. If you forget to dress appropriately you will freeze yourself sitting on those seats.

That is why I recommend to buy a few of these Cabin Cuddler. You can have in your office, your car, and in your carry on luggage. The contour-cut covers every inch of your body, perfect for airline or other means of travel, patented pocket always keeps your feet warm, reversible tote bag holds blanket and pillow, hangs …

Chicken Afritada

I used chicken wingets with this recipe because I know my DH likes them. And I don't like using big chicken part either.

I used one pound of chicken wingets, 2 potatoes, cut into quarters, 1 cup baby carrots, one onion cut into quarters, one garlic clove chops, half of red bell peppers and half of green bell peppers cut into chunks, 2 cups chicken broth, 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce, 2 tablespoons fish sauce (patis), 2 tablespoons olive oil.

In a cooking pot, heat oil. Saute garlic and onions. Add chicken and coook until slightly brown. Pour the tomato sauce and chicken broth. Bring to boil and allow to simmer for 20 minutes or until the chicken is almost cooked. Add potatoes and continue cooking for 5 minutes then add the carrots cook for another 5 minutes or until potatoes and carrots are cooked. Add the green and red peppers, simmer for additional minute or two. Salt and pepper to taste and add green onions on top before serving. Serve hot with rice.

(DH never like stew, anything wit…

Vegetables Fried Rice

I put every left over vegetables in my fridge that is not enough for one meal for all of us. I saute chopped onions, garlic, celery, broccoli, green beans and then I add fried scramble eggs, sausages, and tuna from the can. Salt and pepper to taste and green onions as a garnish.

Yummy! My family loves it except my DH who does not like fish without any mayonnaise or butter. If I don't put tuna with this he will eat it with no problem.

Since today is my birthday lets see what kind of person I am to those who don't know me.

You're very confident, and hardly anything ever shakes you.

Mundane tasks tend to drain you - you prefer to be making great plans.

You are quite original. When people don't "get" you, it bothers you a lot.

Your strength: Your ability to gain respect

Your weakness: Caring too much what others think

Your power color: Orange-red

Your power symbol: Letter X

Your power month: October

Your Life
You are very capable. If you are a woman, you have high chance to be a renowned workingwoman. If you are a man, your path to fame and honor is near. As an innovator, you are not a good follower. You are good in implementing your imagination and share it with others. You are always well dressed.

Veggies With Shrimp Paste

Veggies with shrimp paste (Ginisa sa bagoong na alamang) and sometimes adobo or ginataan, this how I usually cooked the veggies I harvested from my garden. I already harvested 4 times, but the last two I had to blanched half of it because they are too much for the three (me, DD and youngest DS) of us to consume. I'm not sure how they will taste later, but the raising food prices (dollar getting weaker everyday worthless) I don't have any choice but to eat it.

Alaskan King Crabs

Red King Crab
One of my favorite seafood is Alaskan king crabs. We have a Chinese buffet that serves Alaskan king crab. And that was always what I eat when we go there. Do you know anything about Alaskan king crabs? You might want to visit this site if you don’t know much about them.

Blue King Crab
King crab is a wonderful source of protein and light on calories, (yummy is what I call it he he he). Anyway, if you want to buy king crabs with no middle man you are in the right place. Don’t be fool with other seafood market selling Alaskan king crab legs, they are bought from Russian and caught illegally.

Gold King Crab
Alaskan king crabs are the best because when you crack them open, you will find a giant piece of meat. The texture and flavor is more delicate and softer, and they have a unique sweet taste unlike the crab meat from the east coast. And for those of you who doesn’t eat beef, pork, and chicken meat this is a healthy alternative. Have you ever tried Alaskan king crab legs? Here i…

Smart Gloves For Carpal Tunnel Relief

Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the median nerve, which runs from the forearm into the hand, becomes pressed or squeezed at the wrist. It starts gradually with frequent burning, tingling, or itching numbness in the palm of the hand and the fingers, specially the thumb and the index and middle fingers. I used to have such syndrome and it started at my last year working in the restaurant. My co-manager was great enough to buy me SmartGlove to use around the restaurant. She had open release surgery done before we met. And she knows exactly how I feel when she sees me exercising my wrist.

The SmartGlove gaves me carpal tunnel relief while working and don’t have to worry about the pain. But sometimes when the restaurant gets so warm it makes my wrist sweats. But I rather am sweating than being in pain. SmartGlove key benefits for those who would say they are for those people who can’t take the pain, are; helps prevent and relieve carpal tunnel syndrome, increases comfort and circulation,…

Vegetable Omelet

This one is made with two beaten eggs, diced onions, diced ham, and diced tomatoes. First warm up the pan and add butter. Cook the diced onions until translucent. Add the diced tomatoes and pour the beaten eggs on top. Cook one side until you are able to flip the eggs to the other side. Continue cooking until you have the right consistency. Don't burn it, the egg would smell bad.

You can add all the vegetable variations you can think of. My oldest son and I like just 3 things in them. But I know a lot of people like mushrooms, cheese, bell pepper and lots more. Experiment on what you think you would like. Enjoy.
