Tortellini with Spinach

Image
DH had been bothering me about cooking tortellini for a long time. However, he can't remember what flavor he used to eat when he was little. So, I got tired of waiting and decided to buy three cheeses to start with. It turns out it was the one. I only bought it this time. I need to research or read on how to make this before doing it myself. It's probably easy, but I don't work well now a days when children are all over me while trying a new recipe. I have to wait until DH can do something with them out of the house. Anyway, here is my version. Boiled tortellini, sauteed garlic and onion in olive oil, add the tortellini and spinach. Stir, serve with Parmesan cheese on top.

Meat & Mushrooms Stroganoff

Image
This time I used beef strips instead of ground beef with egg noodles, garlic, onions, cream of mushrooms and sour cream. Of course you will need oil, salt and peppers too. After browning the beef strips, onions and garlic. I added mushrooms slices. Cream of mushrooms and sour cream added. And here is my finish product. Did you know that mushrooms is filled with natural MSG? I'm just letting you know, for those who are health conscious...lol. Here is a plate just for you. I hope you like it just the way my ODS likes it. Bon Appétit!

Ground Beef Stroganoff

I know not the best presentation here. I did not have time to put it in the plate and take a nicer shot. Anyway, I used ground brown beef, chop onions and garlic, fettuccine, cream of mushrooms and sour cream. ODS loves it but DH didn't even touch it. Enjoy.

Mushrooms & Meatsauce over Pasta

Image
I am able to use some of basil's now, as decorations...lol. This is just regular meat sauce, I just added some mushrooms to add in the mix. Like I said before I never like spaghetti with only pasta and sauce. I like mine with everything mix in them.

Another Pasta Recipe

Image
I am into seafood lately and every weekend I makes seafood over pasta. This time with shrimp, baby clams, calamari, scallops, Parmesan cheese, onions, heavy cream, clam juice, salt and pepper and parsley over spaghetti. You can also use angel hair, fettuccine or linguine pasta.

Seafood Linguni with Garlic Creamy Sauce

Image
I been wanting to make this for the longest time. Finally I did it over the weekend. I mixed it with shrimp, clams, and scallops. A lot of minced garlic, 1 1/2 cups cream, 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese and salt and pepper to taste. I think next time I will add some white wine, roma tomatoes, and clam juice. Enjoy the picture.

Spaghetti

Image
A very common and easy meal to make. Even my 17 year old son can make this. However, I never make spaghetti with only pasta and sauce. I can't stand it because it should mix with some kind of protein when cooking it. DH always ask if I made it with meat sauce. And I always tell him that I never make spaghetti without meat. After 9 years do you think he will remember...nope...ha ha ha. Spaghetti with vegetables and meat, top with Parmesan cheese. I don't know how to make my own spaghetti sauce yet. I always buy them from the store and mix it with vegetables and ground beef. Right now we are still using the organic beef that our friend sold to us. More often I feel bad buying none organic meat in my local grocery store, like chicken and pork. I still use a lot of pork and chicken because 2 of my DC loves egg roll and ground beef have a different taste than pork. And all of us loves chicken recipes except for DH. It would be very helpful if we can grow our own chicken, cow and pig...

Rice Noodles

Image
One way I cook rice noodles. I think I really need a better camera. This thing came out really dark, (I even fixed the color with office picture manager but no luck.) I mixed this with pork slices, julienne carrots, julienne cabbage, onion, garlic, soy sauce, pepper and beef broth. The egg slices are for decoration. Enjoy!

Pansit Bihon

Image
Rice noodles mix with chayote, green beans, carrots, and shrimps. My mom used to make this with strips of pork or chicken. Every time she make chicken adobo, (this is the adobo that is cook in coconut milk with curry powder) she always leave one chicken breast to mix with bihon later on the week. I made this with chicken broth instead of regular water. It added more flavor to the noodles that way. And I precooked the vegetables and I mixed them all when the noodle softened.

Lemon-Pesto Chicken

Image
2 Tbsp Olive oil 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into strips 2 Tbsp lemon juice 1-1/2 c milk 1 package of Creamy Pesto Sauce 1/2 c grated Parmesan cheese 8 oz of your favorite pasta Heat olive oil in a large skillet, over medium-high heat and brown chicken, stirring occasionally. Stir in lemon juice and cook 1 minute. Stir in Creamy Pesto sauce mix and bring to boil. Stir in cheese. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until chicken is thoroughly cooked, about 3 minutes. Toss sauce with hot pasta. I don't know how to make the picture show nicely. This one looks like a ball of pasta. Maybe I should have separate it with a fork first before taking a picture. Oh well, I'll do it next time.

Lumpia Shanghai, Pansit Canton, & Fruit Salad

Image
Another one from my other blog. Posted while I was pregnant. This craving thing is still going on. Did you know that when you are carrying a boy you tend to eat more than carrying a girl? Yes, its a proven fact. So today, I cooked pansit canton and lumpiang shanghai for lunch. I thought what I made was enough for the 4 of us home. Well, I always cooked too much, now I have to eat it until tomorrow. I'll let you in a little secret, I don't like leftovers; except for cakes and such...he he he. Lumpia mix: pork, shrimp, carrots, onions, and eggs with banana catsup for a dip. Pansit is mixed with pork, carrots, and green beans. And before I forget I had fruit salad for dessert. Pilipino style fruit salad: fruit cocktail, nata de coco, kaong, cream, and evaporated milk. Yummy, hubby likes it too.
