Healthier Food

I can still see that a lot of people are using pots and pans that are not good to our health. I know those things are cheap and very affordable. However, do they know that those things are health hazards. "Well how come they are still selling them?" "I can see them all over the television, and they never say anything about it being bad." Well, do you think they will say anything about it when they are trying to sell it to you? Any person in advertising will never tell you that their product is bad for your health.

That is why you should do your own research than listening to main stream media. Too much of anything is bad, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out. That is why I stick to anything that is from natural material like the ruffoni copper cookware. Yea sure, you eat all this low fat, low salt, low everything diets but you never once think about what you use to cook it with. Did the food pyramid say that you should eat fat free, or low …

Restaurant Coupons

Busy families often go out and eat their meals in a restaurant. Nothing is wrong with that, at least they are feeding their family, right? However, for me eating out is a luxury that we can only do a few times a year with the help of restaurant coupons. Furthermore, my children will not eat anything that is foreign to them. Every family is different and mine enjoy the old fashioned way of enjoying meals.

Before all the hoopla about food and before I finally open my eyes about everything in this world, I love seafood. I will be lying if I say that I hate getting Red Lobster coupons. Are you getting me, my husband and I would drive for an hour just to get to this restaurant when we feel like eating some seafood? When we celebrate this is one of the places we are most likely to go to.
Can you imagine a family of seven going out to eat often? If the money is not an object, there will be no problem. In another life maybe, but in reality that will put us in the poor

Once a year we…

According to Yahweh

DH and I was reading the old words from Yahweh and found out some interesting information. Everyone knows here that I love seafood, not all seafood but most of it. I have heard this before when I was younger too, but since I grew up eating most of it, I assume it was fine.

Any bottom feeder seafood is considered sinful food including our friendly swine who eats food scraps from our kitchen. My parents in the other hand never feed our pigs when I was little any meat. They're mostly consisted of vegetables and grains. Since I love all the things I mentioned above, I am having hard time today.

Just looking at my homemade egg rolls being eaten by my kids who are fond of it makes my stomach turn. We are only allowed to eat fish that has fins and scales. Does sharks' have scales, because I know plenty of people who eat shark meat? This is the reason why we should be allowed to grow our own little farm in our own property, lot size permitting of course. However, if my neighbor decided…

Meat & Mushrooms Stroganoff

This time I used beef strips instead of ground beef with egg noodles, garlic, onions, cream of mushrooms and sour cream. Of course you will need oil, salt and peppers too.

After browning the beef strips, onions and garlic. I added mushrooms slices.

Cream of mushrooms and sour cream added.

And here is my finish product. Did you know that mushrooms is filled with natural MSG? I'm just letting you know, for those who are health Here is a plate just for you. I hope you like it just the way my ODS likes it. Bon App├ętit!

The Favorite in the House

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of All opinions are 100% mine.
Let me state that I grow up eating fish everyday. Yes, hard to believe but it is true. My parents live in an island and fish and shellfish is very easy to get. Furthermore, my favorite tuna (in a can) recipe is plain with some sea salt and dice tomatoes. My husband and daughter prefer tuna salad with mayonnaise and sweet relish in a toasted bread. This is very easy to make, and I always forget to take a picture to put in this blog of mine.

Everyone knows that I have my own family now. I have 5 children, and since I love fish so much not a day that I get to eat some when I was pregnant, especially some of healthy tuna. When I was pregnant with my first child, I don't even know the benefit of eating seafood while pregnant. No, I do not pig out on it, I just simply must have a snack or a meal with it.

I know there are a lot of people who do not like seafood including my father in law. The go…

Experimented with Potato Flour

DH and I did just that today, and it did not turn out to be bad. I made a roll with honey and some nuts inside. Baked it for 10 minutes in a 410°F oven. We are looking for something that has a lot of calories and at the same time much healthier than the traditional wheat flour bread.

The first roll that I made was fine, but the longer it sits out the dough gets drier and when I roll the flatten dough it simply cracks and breaks. I did not finish making all of it because DH needed it this Saturday. I think the best time to make it is on Thursday. So, it will not sit for long, and it may get bad.

After an hour, I came up with the idea to wrap the potato dough into a regular dough and bake it. I told DH and he said he was thinking the same. I will do just that on Thursday. Now, it doesn't really matter how dry the potato dough is. It will be like a stuffing inside a regular bread. I will try to flatten the wheat dough very thin before wrapping the potato rolls inside. It should work, r…

Additional Flatwares & Dinnerwares

Cooking three meals a day for a family of seven uses a lot of plates. Not including snack wares and drinks, I can pretty much wash dishes three times a day too. It would be nice if my hubby picks up some of the work when he is home for the winter, but no. That will be other post, yes hubs, I am picking on you, I don't really have to ask him to do the dishes if we can have some extra Pfaltzgraff flatwares and dinnerwares, enough to use for two extra meals a day. We just need a bigger dishwasher to fit 21 dishes, plus bowls, glasses, silver wares, and other kitchen gadgets I used for the whole day. Though, I don't think I can fit bigger dishwasher in my kitchen, unless we renovate our kitchen.
He loves to shop for electronics, but I don't think we can buy some there. It is hard enough to make him buy some other things I needed, asking him to buy plates in specialty stores I think will be harder. I wish you can find this in Home Depot, that would be so easy…

I Want One of This

I am in the market for a new countertop fryer right now. Mine is as old as my oldest son and I think it’s time to find a heavy duty one that will last longer than the one I have. I have mentioned before that my husband like a commercial grade items and so do I. I think I can fit commercial fryers in my kitchen; one will be nice fit for my small kitchen. The image below can cook my chicken pieces batch in one setting. I can save a lot of time standing in the kitchen cooking those 6 pieces at a time.

Have you notice the handle? That is the oil containers that can be remove easily when I am ready to filter the oil or clean the whole fryer. Most commercial fryers are connected to a gas line and I am glad I found one that is electric fryer. That would be a problem because we don’t have gas line in my house and in my neighborhood.

This food fryer is stainless steel and has adjustable feet allowing for easy height alteration. And the best part is they ship it out free of charge to 48 states. T…

"In My Kitchen" Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

I finally made it. And I got more request from my DH of Our kids loves it and can not have enough of it. This batch is not perfect for a photo shots however, I wanted to show off that I finally made my long want recipe.

I got the recipe online, this is the shortest way to make cinnamon rolls. Two hours it said with the recipe. Since I did not get this perfectly, I will not post the recipe as of yet. I will wait until I actually made this close to being perfect and I will also put the blog I got this from. Thanks to her I was able to make this.

Most of the recipe I liked was made with a mixer. I don't own a $200 mixer and I don't want to wait to the next day to cook it. I used the icing from my sugar cookies icing recipe. DH refuses the cream cheese icing. Please have some everyone, they are huge.

Thank You to my Top EC Droppers

Thank you so much and Happy New Year to All!!!
